Local Meeting Facilities
‘Oxford’ is a globally recognised brand and as such provides a significant draw, kudos and credibility for both domestic and international conference organisers. With its strong links to academia, alumni and industry, the Oxford region represents an ideal location for hosting meetings, exhibitions and conferences, equidistant between both London and the industrial centre of the UK, namely Birmingham and the Midlands region.

From world-class venues such as Blenheim Palace which boarders the airport and the Quadrangle conference centre at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium, to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit or discrete stately homes and country hotels, there are numerous options within a short drive of our airport catering for anything up to 900 delegates.

The airport has a number of meetings facilities, presentation theatres, lounges and theatres suitable for hosting different types of functions – click here for those options

Oxford Airport is an ideal port for bringing in delegates, VIPs, dignitaries and speakers for local conferences, exhibitions, meetings or shows. Delegates or exhibitors can charter aircraft and fly direct into Oxford Airport saving considerable management time and eliminating all the logistical problems and delays of dealing with the main international airports. Valuable equipment or displays can be air-freighted into Oxford at the last minute for maximum logistical efficiency and enhanced security.

It is common practice for conference organisers trying to attract the highest profile keynote speakers to consider organising to pick up via chartered aircraft or helicopter the VIPs concerned. This serves as both an attractive incentive to entice them to the conference, but also the means to save their often valuable and occasionally very costly time. It also provides the most discreet and secure means of transportation possible which can be of great significance to some dignitaries, royalty, celebrities and other VIPs. The anonymity achieved by flying privately into Oxford simply cannot be matched by any other means of travel.

For any number up to 80 people at a time, should you wish to consider utilising a chartered aircraft to bring guests, employees or delegates to a venue in the Oxford area, we can advise on a number of options and will put you in touch with the most appropriate airline or charter operator to coordinate such an exercise.
