Located equidistant between London and the UK’s industrial heartland at Birmingham, Oxford Airport has excellent road transport links with the relatively uncongested M40 motorway accessed in 6 miles via the A34 dual carriageway. There are also four rail stations within 6 miles. Oxford City bus services run at 15 minute intervals right at the entrance to the airport – see timetable here. The transport and directions sections herein provide further details of relevance with links to maps and plans of the airfield.
Commuter traffic close to Oxford city, typically on the A34 or A40 ring road, can be avoided by checking the Highways Agency Traffic England web site. If driving from Oxford Airport due east, towards London, it can be quicker to use the B4027 via Islip towards Wheatley – see map here
For air transport passengers a daily parking charge of just £7.50 or £35 per week.
London access is easy with trains from nearby Oxford Parkway Station every ten minutes typically taking under an hour whilst Greater London and the M25 ring road is just 40 miles away taking approximately 45 minutes.
